I was able to successfully clone the recovery partition along with the hard drive data but the drive would not last through cloning the main partition. All the best Brett This is my problem. I had run a few different virus and malware programs prior to the Bios update, cleaning the viruses and rescanning with all coming up clear. I see that the Recovery Key is required to do this. I don't have a backup recovery or boot disk. There is no legal free Vista download available. Or am I trying to do something the way it is not supposed to be done!
