There are a few possibilities that are available. The sound is intermittent, and I would say it is a slow ding. Ever since then I had problems. I ordered directly through Amazon since they offer an A-Z guarantee. Now a new problem just came up and the center dash went blank and nothing works on it. This started in my driveway.
I would think that it may be a possible software issue, The other two possibilities are a fault in the radio, or body control module. This started in my driveway. Suddenly the radio came on and the seat belt chime was dinging. It spits out the cd after it skips and won't play. If you choose to reset the code, write it down for safe keeping. I hate everything about this vehicul and feel helpless. Knkw about them and they always said nothing was wrong with it.
When I powered on the car the chimes worked and the radio powered on, played dvd's, connected to a usb, and so forth. Second, and even more annoying, is a dinging noise that I get from the front passenger speaker. The passenger side speaker only gives me the turn signals sound and this random dinging sound. Like the ticking of the blinker or dinging are just not working! As for the chime, it only comes from one speaker front passenger side and if it is dinging and I turn the radio on, that side will continue to ding and the radio will only come out of the driver's side. Knkw about them and they always said nothing was wrong with it.
When I leave my key in the ignition I will get the same ding sound but from the driver's side speaker not the passenger side speaker. No defrost is very dangerous on my 2013 chevy Equinox lt 4 cyl 2. So we towed it to a transmission shop with a great reputation. And yes, I often have one without the other. When I told him this, his whole demeanor changed.

Let me know what you have and I will get exact specs and info on the computer. Good evening, I'd like to upgrade my stereo in a 2011 Toyota Land cruiser Prado 150. Put it in reverse, pushed the onstar button multiple times. If you choose to reset the code, write it down for safe keeping. Then i sat in the car and was thinking maybe something in ignition. I took it back to the original dealership that had fixed it before.
Sound is great, movies play when in gear, no static, chimes work radio plays until car door is open, everthing is great. The dealer just emailed me and wants me to bring the Equinox by so he can try to pull codes from the engine. This has happened over the course of a year. After contacting Metra they informed me that the Metra 70-2103 would only work if I did not have a factory amplified audio system in my vehicle. This started in my driveway.
I really want to do this on the cheap. Seeing as this is a holiday weekend, I don't have any hope of getting to a dealer until next week. This also effects the turn signals and hazard lights. I was very impressed with how good the factort sub is in this Equinox, the new avh-p3200dvd allows for utilization of sub the factory stereo never did! Could anyone tell me if this will connect easily to the factory speakers on my Prado. I can't play a cd in the cd player.
The dealer just emailed me and wants me to bring the Equinox by so he can try to pull codes from the engine. I started my 2014 Terrain up this morning to find that the stereo system is completely broken. It happens no less than twice before I take it into the shop. The radio generates the audible warnings. It is not until 10 minutes later that the radio will finally turn on and work properly.
I am under the understanding that door chimes and Onstar are controlled through the factory radio. It was nothing hardware related. Seeing as this is a holiday weekend, I don't have any hope of getting to a dealer until next week. Did the dealer research for any possible software calibration upgrades that might address. It's only accessible by standing outside the Equinox with the hood open.
Good luck with your 2005 Chevrolet Equinox radio troubleshooting. Am stations appeared but it stuck on an fm station. I took it in to the dealership and they said it needed a new battery. I took it to another dealership in town and they told me that it once again was a faulty connector and I'm lucky to not have trusted the other mechanic. Have any quick fixes for me to try? We have taken it into the dealership twice now for these issues but the computer in the car will not say anything is wrong.
