Unless otherwise indicated, specifications refer to test vehicle.
Even while driving the car like an old lady, was lucky to get 30k miles out of them. This can be seen in Northstar-powered cars with heavy, sweet-smelling white smoke coming out of the exhaust pipes. The center-console mounted shifter is gated and firmly spring loaded, such that each gear clicks recognizably in place. It is a smooth ride! They put a lot of effort into performance and looks. When the piston rings get stuck in the grooves, they can't seal or wipe the cylinder walls. After two -- and not more than three, hours -- the solvent will dissolve the carbon.
What makes this such a great winter car? Go through a corner under hard acceleration and the system is smart enough to delay shifting until you are through the turn for improved handling balance. Use the correct 5W30 name brand oil. Anything you can do to prolong this besides not drive it? Part of it has to do with the engine's basic design, but a good bit of it has to do with the awful, single-use, torque-to-yield head bolts Cadillac used. I am sure she would want a nice car with a nice ride like this one. Faults: This car is the best caddy ever made, but the vibration at 65-70mph makes me insane. The problem goes back to the piston rings, which can get stuck in the ring lands as a result of carbon buildup in the ring grooves.
